Only the mall is now a 20,000 seat sold-out arena, but yeah.

My kids are 14 and 13, and they watch HM. They're not obsessed, though. Obsession is reserved for Fairly Odd Parents and Ed, Edd and Eddie. As for Disney, well, this is their business model, and it's proven to work. In the grand scheme, movie tickets to a limited run are still a lot less trouble than going to their theme parks.
