They aren't that lively, but the commentary is pretty good. For the Ivanovic match, I found myself switching to ESPN2 when they were playing, then switching to the the British feed when ESPN2 went to commercials.

The Ivanovic match was entertaining and DirecTV's Wimbledon channels make it better. You can see the British feeds for matches, which don't include any commercials.

That's awesome. How are the British announcers?

They have John, not Patrick, McEnroe.

He does good work when he's on NBC.

After seeing how poorly Safin played in the third set of his first-round match, I had a strong feeling that he would come out and play great today. I didn't suspect he'd drill Djokovic like he did, but I expected him to win.

Which means there's a good chance he goes home in the third round.

Probably, but I'm giddy for the moment :)

I knew this would be a great day for chickie when I woke up and saw the Safin result.

I almost stayed up until 5 a.m. to watch the start of coverage to see who was playing, but I have to work today and I don't thing calling in sick because I'm exhausted from watching Marat would go over well :)

The DirecTV Wimbledon package is cool...six channels on different matches plus one channel with all six matches at once. And free. I'm watching more tennis than usual just for the novelty of flipping around.

I'm frankly surprised that DirecTV isn't plugging in promos during the changeovers. I'm watching the Braves-Brewers game now via Extra Innings on Peachtree TV. Peachtree has no commercials, but we get DirecTV promos between innings.

Sharapova is in trouble. She dropped the first set 6-2, but she is up a break in the second.

She just double-faulted for 2 all in the second. Back on serve.

She's my new least favorite player now that Henin has retired. I hope she loses!

But none of the extra feeds are in HD.

Aha. If I had discovered it in my man-cave, I wouldn't have been as impressed.

Sharapova now down a break, and grunting like a pig.

She came right back, though, so now she will be serving with the chance to tie the set at 4.

Could both 3 seeds be gone this early? Fantastic :D

Yep. And James Blake is gone, too. Big day for upsets. I'm just stunned Sharapova lost in straight sets.

Easy day for Andy Murray, through in straight sets against Xavier Malisse.

Tommy Haas is next.
