There might be one but the search function isn't so great.

So, snapped this cutie yesterday on our field before practice. Her name is Harley.

I share my home with whippets. I thought a "Running Dog" thread was going to be all about them.

Here's Molly, the greatest @#$@ing dog ever:

13 and still going strong.

Two quick Molly stories:
Wife and I were worried how she'd react to the baby. Because westies are know for being jealous dogs. Not great with other pets getting your attention, so were worried about how she'd be when we brought a baby home. Had all these plans to keep her cordoned off from the baby if need be, introduce her to the baby's smells slowly, etc. But she took to him immediately. Knew right away - no idea how...smell? -that he was part of the pack. When he started crying she'd come running and lick the top of his head to try to console him. When we had to take him to the NICU briefly for jaundice she flipped out, whining and staying by the door to the garage (according to my in-laws who were there to see it). Then she had the biggest smile when he came home. It was amazingly touching.

Second story - now that the baby's bigger - almost 5 months - Molly seems to think he's more capable than he is. Recently, when he was lying on the ground playing with some toys, she brought him one of her stuffed rabbits to play fetch with. She just waited patiently for him to throw it, occasionally moving it closer to him, like "Don't you see this? Why aren't we playing fetch?" It was adorable :D

If I start posting Ella images I may never stop, I'll try to limit it to one (per day?). Best 90 minutes of my day, every day, without question, are the minutes we spend walking. This nut bag will stop, drop and roll anywhere

Was looking forward to your appearance on this thread, Moddy :D

Slightly related, at my work someone started Cute Animal Friday. It's just an email group you can sign up for. And on Friday, people send out pictures of cute animals to that email group - mostly pictures of their pets. Sometimes there's an unofficial theme that develops, like sleeping animals, or animals in costumes. Sometimes it doesn't. But is pretty great.

I've always had beagles - we just understand each other.

My last one died last year, when my son was 1 1/2, and I'm just not ready to get another one yet. I'd feel terrible allowing my kids to grow up dogless.
