It's clear Alabama's good wins hold more weight than its bad losses. Miami's entire resume is built on beating 8-4 Louisville and 7-5 Florida on the road. Oh, and let's not forget their "win" over Virginia Tech.

Georgia went from No. 3 to No. 12 --- a nine-place drop --- after losing on the road at Ole Miss, a playoff bubble team.

Ohio State went from No. 2 to No. 6 --- a four-place drop --- after losing AT HOME to five-loss Michigan.

And right now OSU's "good" wins are STILL suspect, because those teams (Penn State, Indiana) have ZERO good wins themselves.

Dare I say you could go eye test with Miami? They have been an extremely fortunate team to get all the wins they have. And it finally caught up to them the last few weeks.

Maybe Alabama isn't a ton better but it seems their results are at least what they are.

We could do the whole basketball debate and say the other SEC teams like South Carolina (we'd never do that, though, would we?), or gasp, maybe one of the Big 12 teams deserves a chance.

I get what you’re saying, but Notre Dame won out afterward. I don’t think the Irish could have taken a second loss and still made it. Ole Miss would have a better argument if it had beaten Florida.
