...or, I'M BACK!!!

Back, you ask?

Back, as in, back in the newspaper business.

To make a long, sad story short, the paper where I had happily worked as SE for many years folded. It was awful, it was tragic. I don't ever want to go through the death of a paper again. I then went to another paper -- it was an unmitigated disaster. I quit. We won't talk any more about that.

I figured my newspaper life was dead. We're not moving, and there's not many options 'round these parts.

But an opening did appear, and I am now again back in the biz. Not a sports beat this time, but I don't care. Tough times in our business? Today, I don't care.

I'm back. I get to go to things and write about them.

I'm very happy today.

I'm jealous, Rosie. I looked at jjobs today and found one that was appealing. I'm just not sure, even as much as I want to, if I can make the jump back yet. Especially with free graduate school as an option right now.
