The Gideon folks are out on the campus where I adjunct handing New Testaments.
Which leaves me with a question: What do other religions do with their writings when it comes to outreach and recruiting?
Having grown up in the Christian church, I've been taught that a Bible and the testaments are not sacred objects. The idea they contain is more important than the medium that are on. But in some religions, the text has sacred qualities in itself.
I don't imagine that Muslims would hand out Korans willy-nilly.
So, how do they spread The Word?
