Battier and Artest?

Assuming they start Artest over Battier, the starting five would be ...

5 - Yao
4 - Scola
3 - Artest
2 - McGrady
1 - Alston

That's pretty dang good. But, as always, can they stay healthy? Having Battier coming off the bench will be quite a luxury. I still don't know if Rafer Alston is gonna get you past the first round, especially with Deron Williams, Chris Paul, and Tony Parker in the same bracket.

Great Googily Moogily!

And: Wake me when this group of Rockets wins a playoff series. Artest makes them tougher . . .and more fragile.

Doesn't matter. If the Rockets play the Lakers in the playoffs, the refs will ensure a Lakers' win.

I do now.

Great trade for the Rockets.

Even if Artest goes bat**** crazy, they gave up a handful of magic beans for a potential all-star.

I'm guessing a lot of Kings fans will have this reaction when they find out it's the Green from Syracuse and not UNC they just traded for today.

What's the over/under on Artest (****ing looser) bitching to get out Dallas?
20 games, 30 games?

I think this might actually be bad for the Rockets. Artest never helps chemistry.

Well, at least I found out tonight so I can load some extra music on my mp3 player... local sports radio is going to be unbearable for the rest of the week. I guess I can also thank the Astros for being too horrible to command any discussion.

The pin has officially been pulled... Ron Ar-mess self destruct sequence initiated.
