Agreed. The Variety article appeared to highlight those parts for which he won Oscars, or at least nominations.

But yes, Broadcast News, and Albert Brooks' role in particular, haunts me. And if I were 10 years older, Holly Hunter would probably be my No. 1 crush at the time.

I can see a lot of news people - like Jeff Zucker say - watch the "tear scene" in Broadcast News and wonder why Holly Hunter freaked out.

Really wish they got around to making a Big Chill reunion - I believe Hurt is the first from that cast to die (not including Don Galloway). I'm thinking JoBeth Williams and perhaps Berenger would have gone "Trumper" - would have made for a lively weekend with them bitching about millennials, their confusing phones and sciatica.
