Fifty is way too young, but taking all that into account, he may have lived longer than expected, like any 80s WWF stars who are still around.

He was born in Bulgaria so he probably got some of those sweet commie PEDs growing up. Also, he had an operation for a brain hemorrhage earlier this month and he died of liver failure, good indicators that he abused something for years.

Reminded me of possibly my favorite SportsCenter line ever, during the Atlanta Olympics from Craig Kilborn, about two weeks before he left to found The Daily Show: "Olympic weightlifting is a PG-rated sport, even though it sometimes requires using the phrases 'snatch,' 'clean and jerk,' and 'Pocket Hercules' in the same sentence."

Reminded me of possibly my favorite SportsCenter line ever, during the Atlanta Olympics from Craig Kilborn, about two weeks before he left to found The Daily Show: "Olympic weightlifting is a PG-rated sport, even though it sometimes requires using the phrases 'snatch,' 'clean and jerk,' and 'Pocket Hercules' in the same sentence."

It should be pointed out that Kilborn did not found the Daily Show. He was hired to host it. His comments while he was still hosting the show in a magazine article about one of the creators of the show, Lizz Winstead, were pretty awful.

Haven't started it yet, but just got The Daily Show oral history at the library. Looks like the Kilborn era is dealt with in a few pages of introduction, and the book in proper starts when Stewart arrives.
