Never saw this show first run. Always in reruns.

What I saw was impressive. Did not know he had still been acting up til about a decade or so ago.

Big Valley was a great show. Even more impressive is it was on ABC, a network known back in the 1960s for being like NBC is now. (The old joke. How do you end the Vietnam War? Put it on ABC. It'll be canceled in 13 weeks.)

The theme song was underrated, too.

Big Valley was one of my guilty pleasures a few years ago. Could watch it from 2-3 p.m. then go to work. Linda Evans, in the top 3 all-time blondes.

Watched the show during my childhood. I was too young to realize how outstanding the cast was until much later: Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Long, Breck, Linda Evans and of course Lee Majors. A western that was a cut above.

Always thought it was weird that the opening credits listed almost everybody "as So-and-So Barkley," but poor Lee Majors was always introduced simply "as Heath." Guess he was never fully accepted into the family after all.
