Now it's Dollar Menu & More. I guess it's like most stuff isn't a dollar at Dollar Store.

And they didn't raise the prices in response to giving the employees raises to $15/hour!

I knew this was coming when I heard radio ads for the "McDouble with bacon for only $2." In other words, you'd get the $1 McDouble and then pay another $1 for two slices of bacon on it.

They really need to just kill the concept or, at least, the name. Call it the "Value Menu" and stop the lying, if most of the stuff is going to be > $1.

Bet this causes some of the locations to lose money. I can think of times I swung through the drive-thru to get two $1 items, just cuz it seemed so damn cheap. Stopping there on a whim for a couple of things that cost $1.69 doesn't have the same impulse pull to it. So they get $0 from me. Oh well.

The double cheeseburger has mustard on it and the McDouble doesn't. If there are differences beyond that, I'm not aware of them.

the double cheeseburger had two slices of cheese and the mcdouble only has one. It's why there was a cost difference.

Last trip I made to Mickey D's was to use the wifi. I tried to buy a $1 tea and my local store (we only had one) had discontinued the $1 drinks. I left.

McDouble has been $1.29 in my area of SoCal for some time now. I now get two with fries instead of 3. Plus $1 for 32-ounce sweet tea.

Always enjoy killing layover time in airports by hanging around the McDonald's in those joints and hearing customers ***** about the inflated prices, particularly on items that they're used to seeing on the "Dollar Menu." "Yeah, but not in airports, knuckleheads, where everybody charges more for everything!"

My dad used to raise a stink because he'd order the 49-cent fish sandwich without cheese, and then ***** because they wouldn't give him a dime off for the cheese.

"If I order a hamburger, it's 59 cents, right? And if I order a cheeseburger, it's 69 cents, right? Then that cheese has to be worth 10 cents. So why shouldn't I get that fish sandwich without cheese for 39 cents?"

Meanwhile, the stoned, pimply-faced counter boy was wondering why he put up with that **** for $3.35 an hour, and our whole family was getting the extra-special tartar sauce put on our fish sandwiches in the back.

Still $1.50 for a Burger King double cheeseburger, flame broiled. No "dollar" menu but a "value" menu. Maybe BK has trademarked "Value Menu." I dunno.

The only difference between a McDouble and a Big Mac is the special sauce, lettuce and the middle piece of bread. Both have the two all-beef patties, cheese, pickles, onions and the sesame-seed bun. The McDouble was $1 and a Big Mac is $3.99 last I checked.

McDonald's is so unsatisfying to me nowadays. It's like the food just goes poof in my belly. I could probably eat there for a week and never have to ****.

There hasn't been a dollar menu in Canada for a long time. I think the double cheeseburger is something like $1.39. I remember when they still had 69 cent cheeseburger Sunday up here, it was glorious. Then in my second year of college they ended it. That was a truly terrible day for me.

And I cannot imagine eating a filet o fish. Most disgusting looking thing in the world.

I once was a judge in a sweet tea competition in Alabama. The sweet tea at McDonalds is better than 95% of the entrants in the competition. And that's not a knock on the sweet tea in Alabama. McDonalds' sweet tea is that damn good. A dollar, two dollars, three dollars. I'll pay it. Same for the Filet o' Fish.
