He suffered so much do to his Vietnam War experiences. My dad met him once in the 1980s through a co-worker heavily involved in Vietnam vet issues.

Cleland's autobiography is also a good read.

Remember when the GOP said he was a coward? Yeah, I do too. Good folks, those Republicans.

I was reading his bio today and learned something. I thought he lost his limbs due to enemy fire, but he was actually picking up a live grenade a fellow U.S. soldier had improperly secured when it went off.

There were two virtues to the Lincoln Project. They were long time Republicans who were willing to publicly oppose Trump head on, and they ran the sort of attack ads R's usually beat up D's with against him. I appreciated that, particularly at the time that they emerged.

Other than that, it was and is a huge grift and they won't get a dime of my money.

The Lincoln Project was useful for a contrast to prove yet again how broke-**** terrible Democrats are when it comes to message creation and persuasion. I mean just utter dog **** that they pay a king’s ransom to develop with these consultants and social media “experts” that couldn’t persuade a toddler to eat candy.
