Former Newsday baseball writer Noble dies at 70

I used to get Newsday as a kid and its sports section was incredible. I searched and found myself here talking about it 10 years ago:

I've said it here before, but I grew up on Newsday sports, and had no idea how good I had it.

MLB- Verducci, Noble
NFL - King, Glauber
College sports - Maisel
NBA - Hubbard
Other - Gergen, Jacobsen

This is from memory, so I'm sure I messed up a little, but this is the gist.

Shockey corrected me that King and Glauber didn't overlap, but it was excellent. I enjoyed Noble a lot, and can't believe he was only 70. That means that back then he was really young. RIP to one of the greats.
