Given his list of issues I’m amazed he made it to 68. RIP. Have a gloriously inappropriate story about him that you guys can decide if you wanna hear.

Unfortunately ... he was the only "celebrity lookalike" mention I got while working as a TV reporter. This is when I was 23 ... and he was 47.
I honestly wasn't as large as him ... so not sure why some random person called my station to ask why they hired the host of Family Fued to cover the local county fair.

Watched him since childhood. Consummate performer.

And I only watched 8-10 episodes of Baskets a few years ago but he was phenomenal.

Was just about to mention Baskets, which was right up there with his finest work. This sucks.

Oddly enough - followed Saget on the Dangerfield Young Comedians special. We mentioned about the coming loss of a generation of rockers, but I'm guessing that goes for comedians too.

I remember watching this and finding Kinison the funniest, followed by Bob Nelson's football act. I think I still quote that line "Now it ain't no Dixie cup, it ain't no coffee cup and you certainly don't want to be drinking out of it." The Young Comedians specials always seemed to be a little too East Coast, the comedy scene in California at the time was insane. Some famous RUNNERS-UP of the SF Intl Comedy Compeition include Carvey, De Generes, Rob Schneider, Dane Cook, Ralphie May, Marc Maron, Patton Oswalt, Kevin Pollack, Louis C.K, Will Durst, Bobby Slayton and Barry Sobel and that's just between 1980 and '98. Robin Williams came in SECOND in the first on in 1976.

This. Is. Awesome.

Acquaintance of mine opened for Louie when he came to town and did a weekend at the local comedy club. Acquaintance did the Friday night show and when he came back to open Saturday, Anderson walked up to him, said “I just wanted to you to know I jacked off thinking about you last night,” then walked away and didn’t say another goddam thing to him.

My buddy did standup in LA for a while and he said comics say the oddest **** to each other as compliments. If they DON'T talk to you that way, you probably suck.

To say he did not look good in Coming 2 America is an understatement

Marc Maron released his Louie episode from behind the paywall as he does when someone dies. I knew very little about him but it’s one of my favourite episodes.
