RIP Lisa Marie Presley

I don't have anything in particular to say about Lisa Marie other than hate to hear it, but she's another in a recent rash of folks in my demographic who's up and died, and that freaks me the F out.

Early reports, I thought they had gotten to her in time. Quite sad. She certainly led a star-crossed life. RIP.

I get it, as I'm just a year older than she was. I will say, though, that I saw video of her from Sunday night at the Golden Globes and she looked rough. I suspect she had been asking a lot of her heart lately.

RIP. Can't imagine what a difficult life that was.

Gone too soon, just like Dad. How sad. Other issues contributed, but had to be some genetic heart issues there.

Just saw a video on Twitter earlier today of her praising Austin Butler on red carpet this weekend, with her daughter next to her.

It was just Tuesday at the Globes (no idea why it was on Tuesday and not Sunday).

Saw a few clips of her from the show. Very frail. Had to hold on to others to steady herself. She appeared to be quite ill leading up to her death.

She lived a life of much grief. Very sad. RIP.

It's so sobering and humbling, and a little scary. We just never know how long, or how little, a time we're going to have.

I can't imagine how Priscilla Presley must feel. You talk about a life of much grief: She's lost a husband she was known to love, despite all his failings and whatever their problems, as well as her only child and her only grandson (reportedly an Elvis look-alike), all at young ages.

She had a hard life, even though she was American royalty. Her dad died at 9, millions of people pay money still to see her family’s house in Memphis and she became this fascinating of mockery in the 90s when she was at that age where few of us are perfect.

LMP grew up with the same tragedies as a child of JFK or RFK but didn’t have the walls of Hyannis to hide behind.
