My heart goes out to our own Moddy, who said good-bye to his faithful pet and running companion, Ella, over the weekend.

I know it hurts, sir. Been there. It will get better. We're here for ya.

Never been a pet person, but I’ve seen the anguish of good friends when they lose a beloved companion. And you could tell she meant everything to him. Prayers and well wishes from here.

We lost our puppy earlier this year, nearly 15 years old and we had her since 7 weeks. So sad. We understand, Moddy. Condolences to you. RIP, Ella.

So, so sorry. I hate that pain so much. You'd think the number of glorious days counted over years and years would somehow dull or counter that pain, and they so rarely do, at least in the immediate weeks after. It's the same anguish every time. Wishing Moddy all the best.
