RCA Records deserves a nut kick for failing to promote Phil and Don Everly's 1972 records "Pass the Chicken and Listen" and "Stories We Could Tell".

"Pass the Chicken" was produced by Chet Atkins and included sidemen including... aw, hell, just going to link them. Too many to type, especially on "Stories".

I saw them open for Simon & Garfunkel in around 2003. They were fantastic and even though they had serious getting along issues, they sang so well together.

Jimmy Buffett recorded Stories We Could Tell two years after the Everly Brothers (A1A - 1974). I have to give the edge to Jimmy on that one.
Still, the greats are dropping like flies.

My wife and I saw the Everly Brothers perform in a club in DC and the opening act for them was this group no one had heard of called America. They closed their set with "A Horse With No Name" which they said had been released overseas somewhere and was a big hit there. RIP...
