Was just watching "The Conversation" on TMC last night. She was perfect.

(Has any director ever had a run of four films like Coppola, 72 - 79? Godfather 1 & 2, The Conversation, Apocalypse Now. Incredible.)

Easy to forget that Williams was the real thing.

To her rest.

A childhood friend of mine was briefly a professional actor and and I once saw him in a production of Grease with Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka in Atlantic City. RIP.

Ron Howard had some awesome memories.

"In American Graffiti, she was 24 and I was 18, and I had my first kissing scenes with her, but they weren't very romantic because she knew that she had this nervous kid on her hands and she had to take charge of the situation," he said.

"And so she was like, 'Here's how we got to kiss for the camera. Here's what we have to do.' She's always had almost a big sister energy around me."

She lobbied hard to play Princess Leia, but Lucas refused saying he didn’t want anyone from his past projects. I have to wonder what she thought when she saw Ford as Han Solo on screen.

Lenny says don’t forget about me.

And don't forget Rhonda. Leslie Easterbrook was on for almost half the show's run.

I didn't realize until just now what a sorry ending it was for Williams (not sorry because of her), who quit because the studio wanted her to work on her due date.
