I remember we had a threadjack some time ago about "Night Court," and today I found out Charlie Robinson who played court clerk Mac Robinson passed.

Charlie Robinson, 'Night Court' Star, Dies at 75

He was also good in the Dabney Coleman sitcom "Buffalo Bill" before "Night Court" and for a time played Tim Taylor's boss on "Home Improvement."

Had two of my favorite lines/plots.
— he is trying to calculate how much debt he and his wife owe and goes, “we’re so poor our grandchildren will be wearing this sweater vest.”
— he hired a guy in a cheap devil costume to follow Dan all night telling him he is going to hell. When Dan finally figured out it was Mac behind it, Mad just goes “the devil made me do it.”

Playwright Lyle Kessler ("Orphans") praised Robinson as one of the best actors in American theater.

RIP, sir.

I miss Harry.

A friend interviewed Anderson on a junket for the network that ran Dave's World. It was her first time doing one of these and said he was one of the nicer people she met that day.

My favorite memories of Mac are the aforementioned devil for hire and the episode where he and his wife named their daughter.

I really need to watch that Buffalo Bill set. I keep meaning to.

Can you imagine how surreal it would be to have someone in a devil suit paid to follow you around?
