His best role was as Burt Ramsey on General Hospital.
Ramsey was on the show from 1979-87 (records are so sketchy that IMDB only has him listed for one episode). When he decided to leave the show, they sent him out with a bang. Robert Scorpio and I believe Frisco Jones finally caught up to him as being the notorious (and anonymous) underworld figure "Mr. Big".
Ramsey, acting as co-police chief, worked with the underworld to launder drug money. The scheme was pretty funny because they would drop the money off at the bank by using a big hose to blow the money into the drop area via a manhole cover that the truck would drive over, then open and send the money to the bank.
But Frisco Jones was too smart and intercepted the money in one of the funnier scenes in a show with many campy scenes.
Ramsey thought he was all set, retiring from the police department, only to be arrested right after by Robert Scorpio.
I still remember the day that he was caught:

Wikipedia has a good character history on him as well:

(yes, it is embarrassing to remember so vivd=idly a show that happened almost 30 years ago but hey. . . .I was in college and had just bought a VCR).
