A member of the Second City comedy troupe. Appeared in "Love Story." But most important here, Jim Carr, the voice of the Charlestown Chiefs.
Andrew Duncan, original Second City actor, dies

EDIT: Jim Carr. And off to the box I go.

RIP Jim Carr. He ranks up there with Harry Doyle.

Jim Carr.

Wasn't Howie Carr a Boston talk-show host? He got into a feud at one point with Don Imus that prompted the I-Man to claim, on air, that Carr's wife had performed oral sex on boxer Riddick Bowe. Howie Carr sued Imus.

I broadcast a hockey game several years after Slap Shot was filmed at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, Pa. It was amazing how much the arena still looked like it did in the motion picture ... right down to Jim Carr's radio booth.

RIP Andrew Duncan, who also had a role in the film An Unmarried Woman.

Should be in the broadcasting wing of the HHoF.

Carr on Sports was hugely influential.

I wonder if he went out in that storm there last week to start his car.

Maybe he didn't have his jacket on. I think it may have settled in his kidneys.

He did his homework too. He knew Ned Braden was a college graduate who was All-Eastern at Princeton.

Or at least that’s what it said in the yearbook.

Did Ned Braden ever help him with that ugly rug? Did he get him to accept the fact that he was bald before later dancing around on the ice wearing only his jockstrap?

If Dickie Dunn still works at the paper, I'm sure he captured the spirit of the thing when he did the obit.
