I've read where he wants No. 1 pick money. Doesn't work that way Reggie.

The best player in the draft deserves No. 1 pick money.

Some people thought Vince Young was the best player in the draft ... should he get No. 1 money? When does it end?

The Texans didn't believe he was the best player in the draft. And yet, the Saints said they were willing to sign him to No. 1-type money. Supposedly, Bush said that's not enough. He doesn't want to make the same amount as Mario Williams. He wants more than that. A lot more.

And that's a shame, If Bush wants to endear himself to the people of New Orleans even moreso than some of the charity that he's done so far, then he needs to sign ASAP. When he's complaining about money and people around him simply can't wait for a roof to be placed on top the house again, that's a problem. He comes off as an asshole.

I don't think he should take less money because the Texans are ****tards, but he is running a bigger risk of pissing people off than his agent seems to think.

Maybe this is why the Texans took Mario Williams? Perhaps they figured Bush would be a pain to deal with?

Believe me, if Bush was with the Texans, hey would've already signed a deal.

If Bush would've had agreed to a deal before the draft (like Williams did) he'd be a Texan.

I'm certainly not saying the Texans made the right pick, I'm just saying they took the pick that offered the less grief.

Oh yeah, I get what you're saying. I just forgot what happened before the draft when the Texans offered Bush and Williams the same offer and Bush rejected it. Bush needs to sign a 2 year deal. He should let his performance do the talking and if he does show great strides, then the Saints would be forced to give him his money.

Reggie's got Master P as his agent?

You NEVER get this year's millions back Reggie.

You're just a year older with zero money earned come this time next year.

I think Joel Segal is trying to save face after screwing up negotiations before the draft...

this will never happen. the "source" is obviously from the bush camp. but he'll never re-coup the lost money. geez. typical negotiating posture bull**** folks like jason fall for every year. you want to be a tool, be my guest. but it doesn't help your street cred when you write about the possibility with a straight face. ??? ??? ???
