The whole series (now more than 40) is awesome.
For those that don't know, these are riffs on the actual "Pure Michigan" campaign, which is voiced by Tim Allen. These are done masterfully.

Hey Jake - I resemble that remark. I've had family Downriver almost all my life and I used to work at a newspaper that served the Downriver area. The only thing the video got wrong (and it was right at the time ...) is that Gibraltar Trade Center across from Hooters has since closed. Yeah, GTC was an interesting place to people watch (I've never been to that Hooters ...).

I have many good Downriver memories. I've met a lot of wonderful people, but I can't argue with the stereotypes. From my time at the paper, I can tell you that they take their car shows verrry seriously.

The Not So Pure Michigan videos are hilarious - well worth the time to watch.

Oh, and at the risk of outing you, Jake (kiddingly) ... I see that you have an office on Belleville Road in Van Buren Township. I was amazed that there's really a Jake from State Farm.

Domino's is much improved over the last few years -- I guess that's what happens when you get customer feedback rating your pizza as worst in the nation by far.

Haven't had either in this century. But, they gotta be better than Papa John's.

In defense of dominoes, my kids have wildly different tastes in pizza. On fridays when I don’t feel like cooking, getting one a super thin crust with barely any cheese and the other a “deepdish” pan style with extra cheese is a lot easier than ordering pizza from multiple local places or having one kid eat one slice and then looking for a large snack at bedtime.

I swear there was a five year period (early 2010ish) where it was really good and it went back downhill. Or maybe my tastebuds changed.

Growing up near Toledo, it’s WILD to see that as a national brand. It was just our area pizza place.
