Proper style for Chicago's South Side

It's a specific neighborhood within a specific city, which is why I'm thinking No. 1. Most other cities would probably get No. 3, I think. Nothing on apstylebook.com or in the book. What's the consensus here?

Sample sentence: "Two of Pallister's friends were charged with assaulting a Royals coach Friday night on Chicago's South Side." ;D

It's not really a neighborhood. Chicago has over 70 official neighborhoods (one of which is not Wrigleyville, by the way), but it's still South Side, West Side and North Side.

Precinct? District? General vicinity? Whichever you prefer. It is what it is, just wanted to confirm whether it was two words and caps, that's all.
