Not sure anyone has spit out (in this case that's a compliment) more copy the last, oh, 2 years (maybe 3) than Charles Pierce on Esquire's political blog. He's a machine and there's little wasted energy. There are times I wish he'd stick to the straight ABCDEFG instead of getting all, how you say, Molokai, but if you want to get learned about every facet, every corner of the landscape of American politics, he's the top read.

He never stops which is why you sometimes might overlook a post, like this evisceration of Kristol:

I was all into Taibbi for a few years but gave him a break. I would pay a few bucks to hear a podcast with Pierce and Taibbi. I think they're pretty much the 2 top dogs though there are others I probably haven't heard about.

Whose blogs do you read? BLOGS!

If you're learning about politics from Pierce & Taibbi, it explains a lot about the political discourse around here (such that it is).

No, but he brings to light politicians from around the country that I might not otherwise know about, even if most of the time he's highlighting the loonies. Taibbi has written more about the financial stuffs.

These are both excellent blogs:

Pierce is certainly prolific and entertaining but if you want to learn about
every facet of American politics then he is not the go to guy.
He is a bit one sided in his politics and you will end up with a slanted
view of the world.

I'll reword it. He sort of brings it all together into one boiling pot.

There may be other political blogs who do the same thing, bias or not, but Charles has his finger on the pulse of it all.
