Not sure. That is horrible, but ii seems to me that it was just automatically generated by the 1 millionth digital jersey??? Bad judgment, but seems they caught it pretty quickly, right? Have no idea how these things work, but seems like an honest mistake, though definitely a horrible, embarrassing one.

I'd wager it's almost impossible someone manually retweeted that, and typed in IHATEN----S to appear on the back of that jersey. Whatever program the Pats had hooked up to their team Twitter account was likely taking new Twitter followers and automatically repurposing them for their own account. I bet the n-word would have been caught in the offensive words filter, but not IHATEN-----S.
