PARIS, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Osama bin Laden is dead, according to Saudi intelligence sources, cited by a French newspaper, which claims to have obtained a document leaked to them by French intelligence.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Osama pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Forget about Osama being dead. I didn't know UPI was still alive.

Thinly sourced by the Moonie UPI, I agree. And the timing's rather impeccable. But the guy has had kidney trouble for years and typhoid is pretty rampant in the places where he's been hiding out. CNN's running with it, though, as is MSNBC.

Head on a platter, like they had a picture of Zar-COW-oui's head for the world to see.

Ben --
I've always advocated the return of the stocks for old Ken. Hang him up there outside the old Enron building and hand out free tomatoes.
Or, better, send him out driving with Ken Skilling.

Ben, he's spending his money dressed as a woman somewhere in the crowded European marketplace cities.

Or even... Jeffrey.

Gotcha? Like the movie?

Linda Fiorentino: "You are weirgen?"
Anthony Edwards: "Yes, I am ... weirgen."

Thank you, Simone

Also waiting for J. Skilling to be treated like a woman, in jail.

Such modest wishes.

Starman, the thread title is pleading for a question mark, IMHO.

At this point, Osama's death is nowhere near as big of a deal as it would have been right after 9/11. Too many other fish running their own small terrorism ponds, instead of one big carp protecting a massive lake.

Not true at all... If this is true, it will be ****ing huge...

I hope it's true and if it is true, it means a lot, in tems of symbolism, and maybe even in terms of destroying al-Quaeda, I don't know how involved bin Laden is in planning for them anymore since he had to start hiding out like a frightened, weak animal. But from what I read in the AP, it looks thinly sourced, to say the least.

It's huge symbolically, Mizzou, but in terms of the war on terrorism? Everyone else and their sister is tearing us to shreds in Afghanistan and Iraq anymore, and it's not all coming on Osama's orders.

I have no idea if he's dead or not.

Politically, he's more valuable to one American political party alive than dead, I do know that.

Dead, not so much.

If he's alive though, where was his big fifth anniversary TV special?

I'm sure Larry King would have been happy to have him on.
