How's that global warming thing going?

Preceeding one of the coldest Februarys was one of the warmest Dec. and Januarys.

Also...um...oh, forget it. This subject is so played out and boring.

I love how the anti-global warming crowd crows any time the temp falls below a certain mark, then points at it feverishly saying, "See! See! I told you!"

Hondo, quick question...

When the last ice age hit, did it just suddenly appear one day or was it a gradual process, with ebbs and flows?

Man, why am I even asking you? You're not going to answer.

This seems like a good place to ask. I saw a 1960s volkswagen beetle painted like a tie-dyed shirt this morning. What's with the world being taken over by colorful, custom-painted volkswagen beetles?

Stay away from the brown acid, Ragu. :)

How is that any different than the pro global warming crowd citing any above-normal day as their proof?

The thing is, if global warming was real, there wouldn't be any of these "coldest Februarys in recent years."

And, again, I ask this: how did we come out of the last ice age without man-made global warming? Could it be that the earh's current warming cycle would be happening even if we weren't here, as it did numerous times before?

Enough about global warming.

What do we think about Hillary, affirmative action, Iraq, the death penalty, abortion and Jason Whitlock?

Scoop Jackson is better than them all? I dunno.

Christ, we're just about to have fun and Old Tony shows up with more of his nonsense.

Oh, and Tony, the "pro global warming crowd" compromises pretty much every reputable scientist in the world. Well, of course, not the Danes or the Swedes who are out to destroy the American economy.

Go read something credible for a change.

How's that ignorance thing going, Hondo?

Why don't you read something, you know, scientific on the subject? You could start here:

http://www.davidsuzuki.org/Climate_Change/Science/IPCC/
So does "science" outweigh reality, JR?

BTW, one of the original global warming scientists, Claude Allegre, has now changed his tune.

I'm sure you figure this means he was bought off, right?

Hmmm...mountains of scientific evidence points one way... but one guy changed his mind and last month was cold...yeah, ok Tony....you just keep your head in the 1950s.

I am not anti-global warming mind you ...

But the climate always has been affected by mammals' impacts on it. Are we using more resources than we need to? Sure. But what's to say that some of this process wouldn't be happening even if we were carbon-footprint neutral, solar- and nuclear-power consuming, emissions-less humans?

Dumbest, yet most predictable, post I've seen.

Dumb ass, that's like going up to someone with terminal cancer who is having a relatively pain-free day and saying, "So, how's that cancer thing going?"

Not saying it wouldn't happen. Tony's right, to an extent. The earth goes through periods of cooling and warming. No one doubts that, but to make that the basis for all other arguments against global warming misses one tiny point that you were smart enough to pick up on....

Humans can and do accelerate that natural process. That's what we're referring to.

I bet Scoop can't pull hot chicks like JDV can.

Speaking of JDV, he hasn't been around in a while. Probably working on his next video to submit to Cannes.

I agree, we are accelerating that process. I think we need to ask: How much? Hard to quantify, I know, but this could happen with very little human impact, too.
