Going to Seattle in April. I need some help on getting Mariners tickets. Their website says it is sold out for the game s I'm in town. Scalpers everywhere or what? Remember I live in a town where I can buy a ticket for $7 and sit in the lower bowl.

Any other recommendations? Our group has the Experience Rock thing rented out for a private party on Saturday night.

The Pike Place Market is always good for an hour or two... it's the place where they throw the fish across the counter and catch them in newspapers.

Hokie, there is a sports bar right off the campus of Weber State - can't remember the name, but I think it's next to a Kroger's. Great wings, good selection of beer. The beer may have been because it was Olympics time, but give it a shot.

head to park city if you have a car and the time. there are good places to hear/see music in both towns. harry o's in park city. salt lake has nice music venues, too. zoom, robert redford's restaurant, in park city is a decent place to eat.

for dinner in salt lake, i second market street grill and/or market street oyster bar. one of them is a club and requires a small fee to join.

i had a couple of nice dinners and a few drinks at bambara at the hotel monaco in downtown salt lake.

I hope that one day, years down the road, the gf and I can move to Seattle. We toured the town on a sunny August day, and I just fell in love with the place. Just beautiful.

Can't remember if there were scalpers around Safeco. We managed to get seats about 20 rows behind home for $50 a pop. Very nice stadium...they even closed the roof during the game.

Agreed with Walter, Pike Street Market is nice. There's shops throughout the place, though the guys that toss the fish around are the most famous.

Well, I found out single game tickets go on sale on March 5. So I'll buy tickets for that game. Is the ballpark by the pike street market? We get there that morning around 8 their time and game starts at 3:30. I guess we will check into the hotel and grab some grub. Any suggestions for food by the stadium?

Think I am going to try and get to the Super Sonics game too on Friday night.

If Huska goes to Seattle, it means he is a finalist for HS Journalist of the year. I'm going for our senior trip.

If you find yourself out near Midway, Utah, which is just up the road from Park City, there are two bars on the edge of town.

The bar on the east side is called The End. The bar on the west side is called The Other End.

No, I'm not making this up. I have a hat sitting in my closet that I purchased at The Other End.

McCormick's and Schmick's is a national chain. Great fish and good steaks there.

It's Seattlite.

For some local seafood in Seattle visit Ivar's -- there are a handful of locations around the city and most off a walk-up service and a fancier sit-down restaurant. It's affordable and is Seattle. Also, the one on the waterfront has great happy hour specials on appetizers in the bar.

Safeco Field is not near Pike Place Market. You can walk it -- I've done it before -- but it will take you about 30 to 45 minutes. Nice way to see the city, you'll walk right through downtown, or along the waterfront, if you prefer.

KeyArena is near Pike Place.
