Not to make too many excuses for UM, but it is funny for a player named "Joevall ***say" to say "they misspelled my name."

Uh, no, Joevall: Your mother did.

Of course, we get phone calls every year from parents of "D'Sheauonteaye Thomas," 'V'Laphantasticanique Johnson" and "LaPhrederiq Smith" all hot and bothered because we "misspelled" their names, too.

You figure that if UM wanted the kid that badly and had that much of a thing for him, it'd figure out the right spelling of his name.

Didn't see anyone post this, hope it's not D_B, but this isn't good for Mich.

http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/index.ssf?/base/sports/1189306537188580.xml&coll=7

A few feet away, a Michigan chaperone was trying to pry those recruits up the tunnel, out of the stadium and far away from all the Northwest propaganda. But the recruits didn't budge. They just stood, watching Oregon dance and listening to Stewart. And what did they think?

Said Hoseay: "I want to go to Oregon."

The other two recruits nodded.

Then Mason said he was considering more than stadium size and program history. Baker said he couldn't remember Michigan losing that badly. And then Timothy Hopkins, their high school coach who drove them the 45 miles from suburban Detroit to Ann Arbor for the visit, jotted down his telephone number and handed it to someone in lightning yellow and said, "Call me. I got players."

Try about seven posts up.

Not only a DB on the same thread, but the same page... jeebus...

I shall slink away in shame.

EDIT: Though, since it's my first D_B, I might as well go for the gold!

Michigan needs to realize the period of mourning Bo is over. It's football season boys. You can win a game now.

Musberger and Herbstreit were speculating that Les Miles is a goner at LSU if Michigan comes calling. I think Carr will step down after the season and Miles will go north. But I've got to think the short list for LSU will be very short. Preq: have won a national title. That said I can only think of two who might be in Baton Rouge next year. Dennis Erickson and (a stretch admittedly, Terry Bowden).

No knock on you, sir . . . but I remain astounded that there are more than a handful of people on earth who might want Erickson anywhere NEAR their program . . .

You'd figure his penchant for probation has outdone his ability to turn around programs at this point.

The rumors in Tiger Town as to who would replace Les Miles.
Steve Spurrier
Kirk Ferentz
Bo Pelini
I dunno if Miles will leave, especially if LSU wins a national championship this season. I don't think Michigan would put up the kind of money that LSU would be willing to offer. Hell, for a brief moment, the school and alumni were talking about matching the Dolphins' offer for Saban.

Holy **** is that list funny. There's a better chance I'll be the next Pope than there is Steve Spurrier or Kirk Ferentz will be the next coach at LSU.
