Blue Rhino propane plant explodes in Florida. An estimated 53,000 propane cylinders exploded, some of them going off the property and through the roofs of nearby businesses. On some news footage you can see the things shooting off like rockets.

No fatalities, yet, but one person in critical condition and three others in serious condition. Luckily, three 33,000-gallon storage tanks weren't touched, despite a serious design flaw in the safety systems -- hoses designed to spray them down in case of a fire have to be manually activated.

Nearby, three 33,000-pound tanks of propane sat untouched. Lake County Battalion Chief Chris Croughwell said the hoses designed to spray water on the large tanks in case of fire, did not go off as planned because they had to be manually activated.
"Most sane people don't stick around for an event like this," he added.
