... I'm trying to come up with a list of movies to show them. They're 14 and 13, so we're not up to Rated R yet, but there's some good stuff they can now watch that I wouldn't have shown them at 6 and 5.

Anyway, so far it's a short list. I've got Wayne's World and Bill and Ted. Bull Durham and Major League will have to wait, owing to more sexuality than I'm comfortable showing them.

OK, the floor is now open for suggestions. Fire at will ...

I dunno... every film we've mentioned had some kind of happy ending. At least once.

Show them some old Cosby Show episodes. Then watch Angel Heart.

DVR Major League when it's on cable then show them.

It's too good of a movie to pass on.

How about some war movies? Not the gory stuff like Saving Private Ryan, but WWII movies that are good but also have some good history in them too.

Porky's, for sure. And Revenge of the Nerds.

Seriously, though, Major League has too much sexuality for 13- and 14-year-olds?

I have no idea how old you are, but how about some movies you loved when you were their age that they've probably never seen? Goonies, Stand By Me, Breakfast Club, Weird Science (OK, maybe that's just me), that kind of stuff.

If you don't mind some terrible language, I would highly recommend The Blues Brothers.

Berenger telling the artsy boyfriend, "Suck my ****" is a deal-breaker for me.

Cable version might be a good idea, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to do that.

Guns of Navarone and Stalag 17 would be a good start.
