Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz through six

Not bad for a guy with six innings of major-league experience.

Just ask Phil Hughes how well that works out.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz through six

OK. The next time I bump into him at the grocery store, I'll see what he says.

I remember all the talk about Buchholz last season. He is the Red Sox's Hughes, per se.

Just another Clay in the Boston organization -- i.e. Cla Meredith, pre-San Diego.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz through six

Well, they're not mirror images.

Same here. Second big-league start with a no-hitter? How cool is that?

His changeup looks good.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

Just made a great play for himself there.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

Wow. He snagged a comebacker -- a belt-high chopper -- with ease. This kid's going to do it. Mark my words.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

Through eight. Change the thread title.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

In case anyone is writing about him, he's from Nederland, Texas.

Not Nedarland, the way it's spelled on the team Web site.

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

Trivia time: Anybody know the only pitcher to throw a no-hitter in his first major league start? (Buchholz would be the second guy to throw it in his second, btw.)

Re: No-hitter alert: Boston's Buchholz now through seven

Through eight.

Don't fricking squeeze him, blue.

Make the O's swing the bat.
