Also being discussed on the baseball thread.
:D

as you well know, not everyone reads the live running baseball thread and it has been standard practice here to post a separate no-hitter thread alerting the other posters when the occasion arises.

Why do I always root AGAINSt the no-no? Without fail unless it is one of my team's pitchers.

Only surprise is that it took this long for someone to no-hit the White Sox.

Time to blow this team up.

Yes, that was me you heard hootin' and hollerin' after the game ended. [/shameless Twins Fangirl]

Worse than the Edwin Jackson no-no? Liriano had two strikeouts and what, six walks? Meh.

So? Burnett walked nine in his no-no against the Padres.

Yeah, and that's not impressive. At least to me. It's like dodging batters to get rewarded for it.

Seemed more to me like his control just wasn't that good, tonight, but the White Sox couldn't hit him anyway. I don't think he was intentionally avoiding anybody.

Agreed. I can't get too worked up over a two-K, six-walk no-no.

The Sox got not hit by a guy with an ERA north of 9.00 prior to tonight's start.

I was there at the Cell ... first no-hitter I've seen live, and an exciting game. I agree that the Sox are awful this year, but it was still a pleasure to watch. Liriano faltered towards the end but willed himself to complete the no-no.
