Usually the Sports Diva is joking and talking about one of her first loves, hockey.
I do want to talk about hockey but not in the way you're thinking.
At least not right now.
There's no stalking Stanley tonight as there are no games going on.
Instead, sometime this afternoon, former Montreal Canadiens player, Claude Lemieux, a fan favorite passed away.
He committed suicide and this was four days after appearing at the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens Stanley cup playoffs game on Monday night.
We could ask ourselves why did this happen?
What was going through his mind between Monday night and Thursday afternoon?
We'll never know.
All we have is a lot of unanswered questions and very sad fans and non fans of the player they called "Pepe".
What I can say though it doesn't matter if you're an athlete or just a regular Joe Schmoe, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get someone to talk to if you're seriously considering taking your own life.
If your friends or family don't help you or don't really understand what you're going through, there are so many ways now to get help and people willing to help you.
There is a suicide prevention hotline where you can speak to someone.
You don't have to see someone in person, talk to them via zoom calls.
Don't be too proud to ask for help if you can't deal with life anymore.
It's out there, all you have to do is ask.
R.i.p. Claude Lemieux
