How can you spend more than a billion dollars on something and have it still have poles obstructing the view? It's not that hard not to.

That's my question as well. If I remember correctly, the only obstructed-view seats in PNC Park are in the press box. Of course, with the Pirates playing in that ballpark, some fans might want their view obstructed.

I know it'll be filled for at least the first few years, so it won't matter all that much, but I wish teams here would do what soccer clubs do overseas and spell out the team name in the seat colors.

Of course, if they did, how long would it take before some enterprising company arranged to have its name spelled out. And then bought all the seats so they stayed empty.
