Have had a running firefight with Charter for three months on dropouts in my cable and tiling in the digital TV.
I lived Groundhog Day every day because I'd have a problem and call, a tech would come out to fix it, say "the problem is in the line. We need to send a tech" and no tech would show.
After three-plus months, I got a call from the No. 2 person at the local center, who asked on my problem and said she would send people out. 20 minutes later four trucks come out and rewired everything from the pole to under the house. So far, so good. They actually put in two lines, one for TV and one for my modem instead of one line in and all off splitters. So far, so good.
But they also showed me this nifty site to check connection speed.
How fast is your connection?

Charter sucks donkey balls, but that is a pretty cool site.

I'm on Cox at Petco Park, I'll be interested to see what it is when I get home.

OK, now I feel better.

At work I'm something like 16 up. That's just nuts.

Course, I had to click on a city that's roughly 2 hours from me, because there wasn't a pyramid anywhere near me.

They fixed your stuff? Lucky *******. Can you call Comcast for me? I've been having internet problems for 6 months. About 25 people have come to my apartment but don't know what the problem is. I've gotten a few discounts, but it's still really lame.

The pyramid I clicked on is about 4 hours from me.
