Anybody know what happened to Monta Ellis during practice?

He tried to split a high pick-n-roll, hits a hit and lays motionless for 30 minutes?

All I heard on SportsCenter. (FWTIW)

What's up?

I'd heard the name before, but not much beyond that.

"Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis was immobilized and carted off the court after he was injured in a collision during training-camp practice Friday night."

For a complete sidebar: I was told today that I need shoulder surgery. I'm not a happy camper about that idea. My problems can wait a bit.

I'm not sure about Ellis'.

Last year's Most Improved Player in NBA. Committed to Mississippi State coming out of the HS, but entered the draft instead and was picked by Golden State in the second round. He's from Jackson, Miss.

He's left the hospital with what's being called a neck sprain:

Watching ESPN News last night, I'm reading on the bottom line that the guy has no feeling below the shoulders and is completely immobilized, then this morning he walks out of the hospital.

Nice.

That being said, great news that Ellis is OK.

ESPN has blown it big time at least three times on injury news lately -- Eli Manning, Alex Smith and now Ellis. What the hell is going on over there? This is sloppy reporting even by their shaky standards.

Yes, but I'm still waiting for mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.

They are the epitome of suck, douchebaggery and general ****tarddom.
