And the A's can't get a hit to save their lives with someone on base. Second and third no one out and they don't score and just now first and second no one out and they don't score.

Playoff baseball without Joe Buck...I'm loving Tigers-A's already.

When was the last time Fox assigned the B-team to the ALCS? Angels-Twins in 2002? Other than that (and I'm not even sure I'm right about that one), I can't remember it happening any other time since they've had both LCS.

Without Joe Buck and Tim Mc Carver what a joy to listen to.

Would you rule that Chavez play an error? I'm on the fence.

No, I thought it was a hit.

Even though the radar gun readings are souped up for the playoffs, that Tigers bullpen is incredible.

Zumaya was hitting between 99-101 on the stadium radar gun. He hit 102 a couple of times, those of which did not show up on the Fox gun. They probably would have registered at 104 or 105 for the TV broadcast. Rodney hasn't thrown harder than 96 or 97 all year, about where he was last night. Still, those two are a tough, tough combination.

The gun Fox used had Zumaya at 103 at one point.

Alexis Gomez just hit two-run HR, huh? Hmmmm. Listing to the Fox crew, you'd think Leyland hit it out. ::)

EDIT: Chavez goes deep...pretty exciting stuff.

Lou Piniella with the best line for my pesos:

Brenneman: Verlander only hit six batters this season.

Lou: Thank God.

They just riffed The Roots' "Seed 20" going into commercial break. For an instant my mind darted back to the place I lived a few years ago, when we'd listen to that song every day.

Chavez had killed the A's in this series before that.
