Dude said:When will the "playoffs are boring without the Yankees" rants begin? I'd like to leave the room when those start.

You wouldn't have known they had the best record from the buildup. I count 17 "experts" on http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2006/news/story?id=2610409this page -- see how many of them picked Detroit.

Ummm, I've been having a good time at a bad football game played poorly.Sxysprtswrtr said:Who could not love the drunk guy who gave Leyland a kiss?

Did I miss something?
hockeybeat said:Why hope? It's a hopeless situation. The Yankees are going to win it all. Just accept it; that way, you can enjoy the playoffs for what they are.
I'm a Mets fan, dude. I've accepted the fact that the Yanks are going to have a parade down Broadway in 20 or so days. There's no reason to fight it, to hope that there's a team equipped to beat them. Because, there isn't.
hockeybeat said:Prologue, ladies and laddies. The Yanks are setting the stage for an improbable comeback.
Thanks for coming, Tigers. You had a nice run.
