If he'd gone to the Raiders, he'd be starting...

The Eagles signed him for two reasons, to light a fire under McNabb and to trade him during the off-season.

And would barely be an upgrade over the **** they already have

No doubt.

The Eagles were morons to sign this guy. Philadelphia's "Wildcat" is a joke. It seems to be nothing more than a silly gimmick to get Vick into the game. I've never seen a team so concerned with getting their second-string QB some action. Vick isn't exactly Steve Young circa 1988.

Though Vick came across fine in the AP version of the story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4636199

Prison apparently doesn't make you smarter.

What a stupid, stupid ****. If he was anyone else he'd be trying to get out of bankruptcy making $5.50 an hour, yet he's complaining about making a couple million for running a couple plays per week. If he ended up in a pit full of angry, hungry, rabid dogs, I would not be disappointed.

What did he say that was so bad?

Ever heard of counting your blessings? Because the guy once made a bunch of ESPN highlights, he gets not only a second chance after completely ****ing up his life, but a chance that, as BYH referenced, would not be afforded to anyone else in such a situation. But he's not happy with his role. Boo ****in' hoo, you stupid subhuman piece of ****.

"But I would have to take that time to hone my skills and get better. I'm excited about the opportunity I have moving forward whether it's with Philadelphia or another team." [...]"

Yeah. That's such a terrible thing to say. Hang him!!!!

Where did he say he was unhappy with his role?

Wait a minute -- Michael Vick said he's thankful for the opportunity the Eagles gave him and he knows it is the right place for him right now but looking ahead he'd like an opportunity to go back to being a starting quarterback?

How could he.

Jesus Christ - this might be the most asinine thread every created - and that includes every thread started by Boots about his fictional neighbors and John David Villarel about his sausage parties with professionals hot chicks....... ::)

If I recall correctly, the second year of his contract includes an absurd pay raise that all but guarantees he's cut before then. He won't be traded.
