That Hamburgler reboot is crazy, but kind of genius.

Anyway, I'm not buying that timeline. I was 15 in 1985, and the Hamburgler was was around, with the name, before that.
I can't find evidence to back this up, but I am convinced, nonetheless.

There's a bagel shop where I live - local - that's really damn good. You pay $1.50 more, but you know where that buck-fifty went.

I probably buy a sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich from there once every 2-3 weeks.

The few times per year I roll through McDonald's, it's for breakfast, and it's usually a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit.

The McDonald's near me doesn't have the bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich anymore, and I've been upset at that ever since they dropped it a few years ago. It was my favorite thing there, outside of the disgustingly good fries, of course.

I have never been to a Chick-fil-A. Sounds like I ought to give it a try some morning.

Have to be in a mood to eat McDonald's breakfast, or any breakfast for that matter, but when I do it's a breakfast burrito, hash brown and orange juice.

Chick-fil-A is the one place we don't eat because of differing beliefs.
It's really more of my wife's deal.
I don't agree their philanthropic actions and what they support financially. Supporting the gay marriage ban does not bother me as much as the hetero-indoctrination camps for gay children, which is just heinous.
But I don't research the philanthropic arm of 99% of the people with whom I do business, so I feel like a bit of a hypocrite on the Chick-fil-A thing.

On the other hand, the food is over-rated and the lines are always insane, so I probably would never eat there anyway.

Steak, egg and cheese on a biscuit instead of a bagel.

(Steak? ... Hah.)

What's breakfast? [11:30wakeupcall]

Yep. Every now and then I'll wake up early, watch the news, and head back to sleep. So I'll run over to McDs for a Sausage McGriddles. Most of their breakfast items aren't very good, but a Sausage McMuffin used to be my go-to. As someone said earlier, McD's biscuits are terrible. Unless they have sausage gravy over them. Much prefer BK's breakfast, and Chik-fil-a's mini chicken doo-dads are off the charts.

1) Hardee's/Carl's Jr. Cinnamon raisin biscuits.
2) Chick-Fil-A Chicken and Egg Biscuit
3) Taco Bell's Crunchwrap
4) BK's Ham and Cheese Croisandwich

Love, love, love biscuits and gravy, but I'm not sure I'd get it at a fast-food joint. But then again ... maybe.

I actually like McD's breakfast. The bacon 'n egg McMuffin is my go-to if I have to eat on the go. But their breakfast burritos are surprisingly good and if I have time to sit for a couple of minutes that's usually what I get. The McGriddles are almost too sweet for me but still quite good. I cant do the hashbrowns, they give me indigestion. The big selling point though is the coffee. For the price, it is quite good and kicks the crap out of Tim Hortons. Cheap, filling and fast, don't necessarily care about the healthy thing that early in the morning.

However, I have also recently gave A&W's breakfast a shot, more out of necessity than anything (girlfriend lives in a town without a McD's, need something for when I hit the road in the morning) and their bacon and egger is surprisingly good.

Sausage McGriddle if I'm at McDonald's. It's pretty much the only thing I like there. But Hardee's/Carl's Jr. has a wider variety of things I'll eat. At the one here locally, though, the quality of the biscuits can be hit-or-miss.

I've tried Taco Bell breakfast once. It wasn't great ... wasn't terrible. I don't think it would be the first place I'd pick but I wouldn't say no if someone else wanted to go.

The top top top top seed in fast food breakfast is the Boberry biscuit from Bojangles. I'd pay several dollars for there to be a Bojangles within 10 miles of my house.

I have never been brave enough to try a bagel at McD's. I like the round egg on the McMuffin. Hate those folded scrambled eggs.

Dairy Queen has pretty good biscuits and if the location has country ham, that's a plus. They also have smoothies to pretend to eat heathy.

And if you eat breakfast at DQ, you feel like a Larry McMurtry character.

Chick-fil-A not only has the best breakfasts but every now and then (at least where I've lived) they'll have a free-breakfast week where something is free every day. One day it was chicken biscuits, I went through the drive-through to get a half-dozen for my office, figuring I'd get one free and pay for five. They gave me all of them for free.

The chicken minis are also the shiznit, but more expensive than they should be.
