I don't anticipate that it will be done until late spring at the earliest.

At that point, there will be an All Points Bulletin for the Poin Army to assemble for a major blowout. There will be provably, demonstrably hot chicks, and the whole thing will be on youtube.

Awesome. You may need to rent a yacht, though. Just sayin.'

Oh for pete's sake, I don't really like the term "man cave" but i am doing the exact same thing to my garage (no basements in California).

Mine will have:
refrigerator
bar
hi-def tv
ping pong
darts

I started at the beginning of the year. My brother and i put up rafters, a floor for the rafters, and now have an "attic" the size of the garage for storage. Hired an electrician for a subpanel, outlets, cables for satellite, lighting. I've put up drywall on the walls and ceiling. Next is mudding the drywall, texturing the walls, patching the floor, coating the floor.

It's been pretty fun.

When are you going to invite everyone over for wine coolers and ping pong?

And in the greatest of twist of fate, Poin gets arrested for serving alcohol to underage high school and college newspaper reporters.

Good one, rumple. You may want to spring for a police scanner for the garage, Dexter.

I'd also say poker table over pool. I have several friends who have owned pool tables and they used them a lot over the first year or two they had them and then they wound up being places to put stuff. People always like to play cards, even if it's not poker.

A mini basketball machine also is great and doesn't take up a ton of space if tucked into a corner.

Oh, and "classy" man cave? What's the point?

So Hustle, does Mrs. Hustle keep your balls in her purse and show them to you occassionally?

Or does she just keep them in the closet somewhere, never to be seen again?

:D :D :D :D

A field turf basement would be awesome.

Nah man it would get annoying finding those little black pebbles all over the place.

As for the pool/poker table debate, it might not be ideal but you can always use the pool table to play poker.

I had a urinal installed in my man cave's bathroom last month.

Best thing I ever did. It is tremendous.

So I am invited? :D

That just might be. Bravo.

Hustle, I haven't seen this suggested yet, but I'd highly recommend it: Pizza oven. And when that old fridge gets moved to your man cave, reserve the freezer portion for two things, and just these two things: ice and pizzas.

Agreed. I always wondered why urinals aren't more common in homes. You'd think women would push for it because it would eliminate the whole seat up/down thing.

An outside wall works well, too.

Bushes?

I think you need to do a wallpaper border that's nothing but porn. A subtle, but nice touch. It also works well in the baby's room, too.

I would also recommend a trough that runs up the middle and goes the length of the man cave for group vomiting and urinary purposes. Just make sure you slope the trough so it doesn't collect up and is easy to take a spray hose to. Should you go this route, I'd suggest indoor/outdoor turf.
