Am I the only one here who thinks the Cowboys are way overrated? Their major offseason pickup was a guy who hasn't played in more than a year and if I remember correctly was known more for his special team play than his play at corner in Tennessee before the suspension. They have exactly one wideout and he is 35 and is a ticking time bomb and one pro bowl tightend. Their ground game is in the hands of a rookie and a guy who is mainly a fourth quarter threat (albeit a major fourth quarter threat, but has never had to be THE guy before). And Their QB has won exactly nothing in the playoffs.
I think they'll be good, may even scrape into the playoffs, but I look at 10-6, maybe 9-7 as a best case scenario. They are far from Super Bowl contenders or even being the most rounded team in the NFC.
Personally I like the Saints, the Giants (depending on which Eli we get), and the Vikings better. Hell if the Cardinals could get their act together I'd even throw them into that conversation to atleast be as good as the Cowboys, but they'll find someway to go 6-10 or 7-9 because they are the Cardinals.

oh and the packers are going to struggle.

Agreed, Beef, the Cowboys are overrated. That said, Barber is an absolute beast and will put up huge numbers...I mean, not record-breaking or anything...just big numbers.

Zach, as I figured, is inspiring the troops. Crayton, Witten will have big years, and the running back combo is much better than it was last year, as good as it was last year.

Unless you get stuck having to throw the ball all day against Champ Bailey and Dre Bly, the Donkeys are completely beatable. And Pat Bowlen will be too spineless to can Shanahan after another debacle.

Chargers go 11-5, win AFC West, but Shawne Merriman's season ends by the eighth game, followed by everyone saying that he should have had the knee surgery that FOUR doctors told him to get prior to the 2008 season. Chargers will get the Super Bowl this year WITHOUT him.

... oh, and the Chargers might actually win the SB (after beating Indy in the AFC title game), defeating either Dallas or Minnesota.

I thought it was a distressing glimpse into Phillips' character when he told the 'Boys that they would not talk about the Super Bowl (shown on the first episode of Hard Knocks). I think if you have a team that's championship-caliber, you should talk about winning championships. Not talking about winning the Very Large And Important Game gives the 'Boys a built in escape; that winning is not important.

The Stillers get six games against the Bengals, Ravens and Browns. They'll go at least 5-1 there.

I say this as a Bengals fan. The AFC North is Steeler Country by default.
