The magic is back at The Garden thanks to Jeremey Lin. As I type this he currently has 38 against The Lakers.

His game really highlights how toxic Carmelo Anthony's game can be to a team.

If he were the new Tebow, he'd be missing the backboard for three quarters, then going 10 for 10 in the fourth.

So the anti-LeBron then?

I would say the anti - Carmelo

His line tonight 38 points 7 assists.

Carmelo, Amare will quickly steal his thunder when they return. Then my Twitter feed will be ridden of all the orgasms over Lin.

He might but it won't play well in The Garden if that happens.

Classy, really classy.

There was also the Yellow Mamba sign in the Garden tonight.

Tomorrow they're playing the Wolves. Lin-Rubio. Which if you're a Time-Warner customer in NYC you won't be able to watch. The TW-MSG Network fight keeps the Knicks off here. Wolves' FSN also isn't broadcasting it, no League Pass.

Stoudemire will fit perfectly with Lin. He needs a good point guard to be at his best. Carmelo, though...

Non-Knick news, this is the golden age of point guards in the NBA. So many great ones, so many good ones, and young guys like Lin, Rubio, Irving. And the Lakers trot out Derek Fisher and Steve Blake. Ugh.

Stein tweeted that Knicks were leaning toward releasing Lin before last Saturday and were looking at guys to replace him. Leading candidate to take his spot: Mike James.

Semi-serious question (although I know the answer most likely):

If Lin was on a team like the Jazz, Pacers or Rockets...does he get this type of hype?

From the deepest pits of the bench to 28, 23 and 38 points in his first three starts, the last coming against Kobe? Being in NY intensifies the hype, but this confluence of factors would make him a story even in Charlotte or Sacramento.

From Elias — Jeremy Lin has 89 points through his first 3 starts, most points by ANY NBA PLAYER in his first 3 starts since the merger (1976-77)

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ..... when they're one of the top eight teams in the East, and on the verge of getting out of the second round for the first time since 2000, wake me up.

I trust you're joking. Anyone with the even most rudimentary news judgement sees this as a tremendous story.
