And I thought when I did eight American Legion baseball games in three days (4, 2, 2) on the July 4 weekend last year that I was insane. The schedule is cut back to six for this coming weekend.

I assure you; I would have sent him packing during pre-game.

I did tell him that you gave me the bounty, and I told the umps that whoever tossed him was getting half.

He looks at me funny like......."You gotta be ****ing ****ting me?!?!?"

update-

Went from 6pm last night til 630 am today (11 games)

took a nap--going to eat.....drive 45 miles to do 2 baseball games (430 and 700).....

drive back 45 miles---start back at 100 am

toe is fine. no revolt yet.

did see the best team name for a mens softball team yet.

update-

As someone wrote in a book once......

"It is finished"

Ended up with 24 games.

A couple of highlights;

300 ft. fences. Breeze around 10-15 mph blowing out.

Guy hits one that still has not re-entered Earth's atmosphere yet. One guy that went and got the ball said it was another 100-150 feet behind the fence.

Lots of fun, but the site of that complex in my rear-view mirror makes me orgasmic with delight.

The insanity returns.

Just got the schedule for the annual 48 hour softball tournament in two weeks.

The goal this year is to umpire 35 of the scheduled games. Not last year, but the year before, a brisk 32 of the games were called by ye ol Chef.

We're going to up it a bit this year, without going crazy.

Scheduled to start at 6 pm Friday.

The running rumor is that they will be selling beer at the concession stands for 48 straight hours, and that it will be allowed in the dugouts, but not on the field.
