I'm looking for a good column / essay making the strong gun control argument (people don't kill people...). I feel like I once saw something from Anna Quindlen, but can't find it. I couldn't think of a better place to find expert advice on the subject. Thanks in advance.

I'd help if I could, Guy, but I read left-wing blogs less often than I do right-wing blogs (which is about two minutes a week if I am forwarded a compelling link)

But I've heard Moveon.org. DailyKos and Democratic Underground (which I assume you already knew of, as well) are where the cool kids from the far left like to hang out.

Less than helpful.

Alas, the witty banter that is our stock in trade here is usually less than helfpful.

Thanks, but I'm actually not looking for a blog, but an actual column / argument. I'm surprised, out left of center brethren & sisteren aren't usually so shy.

No help from me, guy.

I just went to the Sheriff's Office this morning and picked up a concealed carry permit application.

Not to be a ****, platyr, but what the **** does that have to do with anything?

The moronic argument you're trying to seize upon is that guns don't kill people; people kill people.

Yeah -- people with guns. There aren't too many sword slayings.

Haven't really seen gun control discussed there often, but you could check out BluegrassReport.org. If anything, there's at least a list of other lefty blogs. Ironically, it's on the right side of page.

Unless I misinterpreted, Guy is looking for someone to guide him to an essay which is making a strong case for gun control.

I am totally against gun control, so he won't get any help from me in his quest for such an essay.

And, I did indeed go to the S.O. this morning and pick up said application.

OK.

In other news, I'm against Nazism, and, as such, have no idea where one might find information on the topic.

Open mouth, insert keyboard, pal.

You might try Googling "Nazism."

Somebody say 'gun control' ?
