Damn all of you IHOP bastards. I've never been to an IHOP or even SEEN one before, yet I still get all the commercials.

Wait a minute...aren't you a New Englander? How the **** have you never been in an IHOP, never mind never SEEN ONE?! Tell me you never leave the house or something.

That's impossible, dude, just impossible.

Kevin's mom doesn't let him go out alone yet.

In my neck of the woods, I've never seen one. I've heard there is one in Derry, New Hampshire, but I'm never in that area nor do I have a reason to be.

I'm not in Massachusetts all that often, either. If I am in Mass., I'm usually just in Boston to catch Sox games.

Hell, that would be an acceptable excuse.

As for the best place to get a breakfast, I hate to admit it, but spnited is right. :D Jersey diners make good food 24/7. Not so much out here, and especially not true back home, where we had to end our nights at the ****tiest 24-hour diner ever. I'd always get French toast there, and always regret it. The diner is still there, too, and it still blows my mind that a Denny's or an IHOP hasn't landed in my burg and put that ****in place out of business.

My favorite breakfasts are at Bickford's (another New England speciality) and Cracker Barrel, but neither are anywhere near me. I do make it a point to get to them whenever I'm within a 20-minute drive, though.

Ah, Bickfords! I don't see many of those anymore as many have gone out of business, but they had some damn good pancakes.

OK you're off my **** List. :D

Yeah, the Bickfords have been disappearing. My wife and I used to go to the one about 20 minutes from my parents' house every time we were up there, but last summer we went there and it's now a Mexican joint. Sad. I think there's still a couple Bickford's off I-95 along the shore in CT...Mystic and Niantic, I think?

Their Sunday buffet was ****ing outrageous. I think they served breakfast all day too, right?

All good pancake houses/diners serve breakfast 24/7.
No Waffle Houses that I know of in NJ. Saw my first in Pa. last weekend...passed.

True, but as noted, it's hard to find a good diner once you leave Fort Lee and hop on the GW Bridge.

Heading out to Jersey next week to find and annoy the **** out of you old man, so I may buy some breakfast for dinner as a reward.

Good diner in Fort Lee, 1/4 south of the GWB.

Any good diners in Baltimore? I'll be down there for the weekend series between the O's and Sox in September.

It could be quite a scene.

Not sure, but there's a Cracker Barrel just after the Jersey state line if you're heading north. So you can hit that on your way back. [/interthreading]

Cracker Barrell breakfast is great, but I don't know of a Cracker Barrell that's open late night after a night of pounding down drinks.

In my town we have a local franchise of 24/7 diners with the best ****ing hash browns in the world. Two over-easy, hash browns with cheese and a large glass of 2% milk, and I'm a happy camper.

25-some years ago or so, we used to hit Taco Bell for three Taco Supremes after the bars closed. Then Taco Bell wised up and started closing the inside dining and you had to go through the the drive-thru.

Taco Supremes or (when they were still available) Beefy Tostadas were foods sent from heaven at 2 a.m.

I sometimes wondered, in my youth, who first thought it was a good idea to get a belly full of booze and then throw three eggs on top of it. A burger, I could understand. Pizza, sure ... although pizza is not so good coming back up. A beef and bean burrito, even. But eggs ... why eggs?

I never got that either. I always used to go to Denny's and got sick off the Moons Over My Hammy a couple times.

Amateur. Tell these people what your 160-pound former coworker used to eat after work :D

Love Jersey diners. They beat the hell out of the diners here in Connecticut, but I'll still stop in for steak and eggs or blueberry pancakes more often than I should.

In fact, maybe that's where I'll take the little guy for breakfast today while the Mrs. sleeps in ...

We've got a spot in town that serves the Cheesy Western ... a cheeseburger with a fried egg, yellow relish and onions on it. Sounds gross, but it's freaking amazing.

Also, hit up a spot in Richmond once downtown with a certain board member for some late-night breakfast. Was awesome.

Do you not live in America?

Whataburger taquitos are actually pretty good, but probably not after pounding some beers.

Get extra salsa.
