I just don't know what you do with a basketball jersey. I don't have the physique to make it work, most don't and wearing it over shirt (Ewing aside) seems kind of lame. Double-bad if its a long-sleeve dress shirt. Could you imagine if hoops was like baseball and the head coach dressed out as well?

The last one I got was a birthday present from my sister: A Rashaad Penny Seahawks jersey. I'm a Penny fan since his SDSU days, and my sister is a Seahawks fan, so she got that for me a couple months after he got drafted.

Also have a Chargers Luis Castillo jersey, which I got in 2010. I'm looking to get another Chargers jersey at some point, because they just look awesome.

Have a couple of Angels jersey, and once had an L.A. Kings sweater, but those were blank. I'm generally a fan of teams, so I'm reluctant to get a player's name and number in case they get traded. (With NFL jersey you pretty have to pick a player/number).

I'll wear the football jersey around once in a while, but the baseball jerseys I tend to wear only when I'm going to a game.

For my wife, about 10 years ago, I bought here a Hank Aaron sewn name and numbers jersey that sells for about $350 at the stadium. I bought it brand new for $50 on eBay. That thing was so hot it will still burn you if you touch it.

My one baseball jersey is a blank, blue Phillies throwback. A friend of mine gave it to me as a groomsmen's gift.

I have a few football jerseys, but I bought them in the 2000s so they're all aging now — a white Reggie Wayne Colts jersey; a green Brian Dawkins Eagles jersey; and a New Orleans VooDoo Arena League jersey that I bought off a clearance rack in New Orleans for $10 because, why the hell not?

Also have a 20-year-old white LSU No. 3. It started life as a Kevin Faulk jersey, and it's been fun over the years to see who's wearing No. 3 and who I'm paying tribute to at any given moment.

I am a Browns fan so my wife bought me a Baker Mayfield jersey a few birthdays ago. When I told her about the Deshaun Watson trade, she told me that she’d get me his jersey this year. That is how I found out that she doesn’t pay attention to news in the sports world.

Only player-specific jersey I have was a Christmas gift. Derrick Henry light-blue Titans jersey from before they mucked up the numbers. Also was gifted a blank Preds jersey, white from the inaugural season.

The only ones I’ve purchased were one from the local USL side and a blue Arsenal jersey with O2 as the sponsor. That one was $10 at Unclaimed Baggage, so what did I care if it wasn’t my team.

Hockey pucks and soccer scarves are my sports merch weakness.

I am not a jersey guy. I think it's so silly that so many fans make a big deal about uniforms. That said, Patrick Mahomes inspired me to finally buy a jersey of his. In fact, I am such a big fan of what he's done for the Chiefs that I have two of his jerseys!

I got a Peter Forsberg sweater for Christmas the first year the Avalanche were in Denver. That is my one and only jersey ever. I still wear it to hockey games, but other than that I don't do jerseys. With players moving around all the time that adds to it since I could get today's favorite player and tomorrow he's gone. They just aren't appealing to me.

I do like sports gear, though, especially hats. I have so many. I am pretty loyal to my teams or else I would probably be drowning in hats. There are so many good looking ones out there for all sorts of teams.

I went through a big soccer jersey phase from around 2000-7 and probably have 30 of clubs all over the world as well as a bunch of US ones. Walking around Manhattan, you get a lot of appreciative and angry looks if you wear certain European or especially South American club jerseys. The last one I bought was a Man United Jersey when they first got Chevy as a sponsor.

When I go to NY Jets games, I think the answer for many of the fans is either Wayne Chrebet or Joe Klecko.

In the infancy of EBay bought a retro Atlanta Flames #12 jersey, Tom Lysiak’s number, and wore it to a Calgary Flames game in around 2000. Everyone knew who it was. One of the best players to ever come out of Alberta.

My son got me a Bill Walton throwback Blazers jersey for Christmas. That's pretty sweet.

That may be my only player-specific jersey. My last purchase was a Bob Marley edition Ajax third jersey, but no number or name on the back.

I have a credit for a free NBA jersey through Caesar's. Unless something else grabs me I'll get a JaVale McGee Suns jersey.

The free NFL jersey promo from Caesar's was great, though you didn't have to use it on a jersey. With that money I was able to get two long-sleeve t-shirts, a golf shirt and a pullover for my Bengals -- months before their stuff became shockingly fashionable (and not so cheap anymore).
