Last call: Louisville outing

Since we have expressed at least some level of interest in a deep/mid-South gathering, I figured I'd set up an exploratory poll to narrow it down some.

Deep or Mid-South mini-outing? August? Takers?

Any interest in a Deep/Mid-South Mini-outing somewhere like Louisville, Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, Memphis, etc?

I might be interested, but I have several trips for late summer/fall so vacation time might be an issue.

I've never been to an outing because my work schedule ALWAYS sucks (and, really, I don't know why I expect August to be any better). I thought that if I put together something like a Louisville weekend (Bats game, museum, Bourbon Trail tour), maybe some folks who haven't had the chance to hit an outing might have a chance to get to one.

I might be down. Depends on the where and the when.

If ya'll come to my city, I got the hookup on tickets to the local AA team. Hell, three_bags might even throw out the opening pitch that night.

Here's a quick regional MiLB glance at the better spots:

Lexington and Louisville home 10-11 AUG; 23-24 AUG
-- Downtown scenes, Bourbon trail (accessible from both towns), Slugger museum

Memphis home AUG 16-18
-- Beale Street, best food scene, hotels very close

Chattanooga home 9-11 AUG, 29 AUG-2 SEP
-- Decent little stadium, cool downtown scene, decent food

Nashville home 16-18 AUG; 30 AUG-2 SEP
-- Stadium sucks and isn't close to downtown, but downtown is pretty good

Gwinett home 9-11 AUG
-- I got nothin' here. IJAG?

Asheville home 9-11, 23-25 and 30-31 AUG
-- Way cool town. We've already been to two series this year

(North) Little Rock home Aug. 13-18 with games against San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
-- Downtown park. Hotel next to stadium, on the Arkansas River. Little Rock bar district on the south shore with a dozen hotels there. Okay food but some really good eats can be found. Downside, it will be so hot, it will be stupid.
